Tiltify is a Los Angeles-based digital fundraising platform. Charitable organizations can use their own social media sites to raise money through crowdsourcing using that platform.
Campaign beneficiaries have included United Way Worldwide, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Save the Children, No Kid Hungry and Make-A-Wish.
Challenge
The company wanted to expand from an existing Tucson office space to a location that could accommodate quick growth with space flexibility. The new site needed to have a lot of digital communications capability.
For its workforce, Tiltify wanted a vibrant area full of nearby amenities and close to residential areas from which employees could walk or bike to work.
Response
Commercial Real Estate Group of Tucson did an extensive market search and identified several Tucson office space options that could work for Tiltify, including a property that was under redevelopment in an affordable area outside of the Tucson central core.
CREG Tucson also
- arranged a tour with company officials to point out benefits and drawbacks
- checked with fiber optics providers to see what speed of data was available at the property
- negotiated a lease for the tenant.
Results
Tiltify signed a lease for a building that was updated with a trendy aesthetic. Restaurants, recreation and entertainment were within short distances—even accessible by foot. Employees had residential options that would make any commute short.
The landlord agreed to build out the space to meet the tenant’s needs.
Take-aways
Satellite offices that accommodate a remote workforce are highly sought after in the COVID-19 age. Search for office space in mixed-use areas where employees can both live and work.
A well-connected commercial real estate broker will know when Tucson office space will come onto the market, not just what’s publicly available. That inside information can give you a jump on the competition for that space.
